During Science week in March the pupils from Years 4 & 5 designed and built marble runs as part of the Marble Keep-Y-Uppy national competition run by CLEAPPS.
Click here to see some of our amazing designs.
The competition is to build a marble run (1m tall max) that will a keep a solid glass marble in continuous motion for the longest time. Entries are judged on compactness, elegance and length of time the marble is in continuous motion. Children have to submit a video of the marble run in action clearly showing the time taken for the marble to get through the device, photos and a poster explaining how the device works.
The winning school will receive lots of exciting prizes. For more details about the competition please see http://primary.cleapss.org.uk/Resource/Competition-2017-Introductory-Video.aspx
